Broken Embraces

I just got back from seeing the new Pedro Almodovar film. Yes, I realize I'm a little late to the party. No, that didn't make it any less amazing. Some critics thought that this wasn't his best movie, and I agree, with reservations. Broken Embraces is not as intense as some of Almodovar's other movies, but it is still a beautiful and moving story. I especially loved the costumes, from 90's power suits to several Audrey Hepburn inspired outfits.

I couldn't find a picture of Penelope Cruz standing up in this suit so this one, of her laying on the ground, will have to do.


The cinematography was gorgeous.
